Join Copia in Perth CBD with Fiveight Venues as Head Barista. Create memorable guest experiences—from morning coffee to evening service—while working in a vibrant multi-venue group across Copia, Cooee and Indigo Oscar.

We value precision, passion and teamwork. This flexible casual role offers 30–35 hours per week, with shifts starting as early as 6am and opportunities for development within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• 12 months' barista experience in a busy café or coffee environment.
• Strong coffee-making skills including latte art.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, organised approach and ability to work independently.
• Creative ideas and initiative; available for early starts and some weekend shifts.
• Applicants must have current Australian working rights.
• Hold a valid RSA and Food Handler Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality espresso and specialty beverages to a consistent standard.
• Provide prompt, professional and friendly customer service.
• Maintain and clean coffee equipment, including grinder calibration.
• Process cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately.
• Manage stock levels, ordering and product rotation to minimise waste.
• Ensure a safe work area and compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Contribute ideas for the menu, seasonal specials and promotions.

About the Role

We're looking for a Head Barista who enjoy working with people, take pride in what they do and want to be part of a supportive team. Whether it's serving the first coffee of the day, or helping create memorable moments to our guest, you'll play an important role in bringing the Copia experience to life.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Preparing high-quality espresso coffee and specialty beverages to a consistent standard
• Providing prompt, professional and friendly customer service

What You’ll Bring:

• A minimum of 12 months' experience as a barista in a busy café or coffee environment
• Strong coffee-making skills, including milk texturing and latte art
• A genuine passion for hospitality and a strong commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, organised approach and the ability to work independently
• Creative ideas and the initiative to put them into practice
  Availability for early starts and some weekend shifts
• Applicants must have current Australian working rights.
• Hold a valid RSA, and Food Handler Certificate or willing to obtain
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
