Job summary

Gold Fields’ Granny Smith Gold Mine in Western Australia seeks a seasoned Process Control Engineer to own the site Process Control Management of change process, approve and document changes, and drive upgrades for OT across the processing department.

You will work with a diverse team to design and implement automation, collect and analyze data, and optimize maintenance strategies to improve reliability and efficiency of plant operations. FIFO or residential options apply.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Control System Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive process control system experience, preferably in mining.
• Knowledge of Citect, SCADA configuration & Schneider Control Expert systems is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of Aveva PI historian systems.
• Knowledge of underground remote operational technology is desirable.
• Growth mindset with strong communication, responsibility and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the site Process Control Management of change process, ensuring changes are approved, documented and tested.
• Identify, implement and manage control system upgrades to improve OT reliability.
• Integrate the site power station for site-wide power monitoring and efficiency improvements.
• Review and optimize maintenance strategies to ensure plant reliability.
