Job summary

Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd seeks a loyal Process Control Engineer to lead the site MOSC and drive reliable automation across Granny Smith operations in Western Australia. You will coordinate changes,(upgrade) control systems and collaborate with the processing team to improve efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Control System Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with process control systems in mining is preferred.
• Knowledge of Citect, SCADA and Schneider Control Expert systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Aveva PI historian systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own the site Process Control Management of change process, ensuring changes are approved, documented and tested.
• Identify, implement and manage control system upgrades to improve reliability of OT.
• Integrate the site power station for monitoring, power balance and efficiency.
• Review and optimise maintenance strategies to ensure plant reliability.

• 8 days on / 6 days off FIFO roster, or be residential
• Owner-operated Granny-Smith Gold Mine

The Opportunity:

You’ll work closely with a diverse team to contribute to operational excellence for our Processing department at Granny Smith.

Reporting to the Processing Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, profitable and efficient operations by implementing and supporting the best technological solutions for operational system design, integration and automation, operational data collection, management analysis and reporting.

Skills & Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Control System Engineering or related Engineering discipline and a manual driver’s licence
• Extensive process control system experience, preferably in the Mining industry
• Knowledge of Citect, SCADA configuration & Schneider Control Expert systems would be highly regarded
• Knowledge of Aveva PI historian systems
• Knowledge of underground remote operational technology is desirable
• A growth mindset, with strong communication, responsibility, and relationship-building skills
