Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Control Systems Support Engineer to join the Customer Service team in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane. You will provide technical support and engineering expertise for automated material handling systems, handling diagnostics, PLC upgrades, commissioning, and customer-facing solutions on-site.

Ideal candidates will have engineering or scientific qualifications, PLC/SCADA experience (Siemens S7 preferred), and the ability to travel interstate or overseas as required.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in engineering/science or electrical trade with tertiary qualifications
• Experience with PLC programming and electrical control systems is essential
• Knowledge of SCADA platforms (ICONICS, CITEC, WINCC)
• Strong communication and ability to work with customers
• Willingness to travel interstate/overseas is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level technical support and engineering expertise for automated material handling systems
• Contribute to PLC programming, system diagnostics, commissioning, and on‑site testing
• Prepare test plans and operator/technical manuals; train client personnel
• Support after-hours on-call roster and adhere to safety and quality standards
• Assist with budget costing, quotes and continuous improvement initiatives
