Job summary

Wilmar Sugar & Renewables at Macknade Mill, Ingham, is seeking a Control Chemist to analyse and test products, ensuring quality and performance. You will support operations to identify improvement areas and help achieve optimal factory performance during the crushing season.

This seasonal role requires shift work from June to December, including weekends and overtime. Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills with strong attention to detail and computer literacy, and can work

Job Description

As a Control Chemist at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will be responsible for analysing and testing various products produced at the Mill to ensure their quality and performance. This position is key in assisting the operations team to pinpoint areas for improvement, enabling them to achieve optimal factory performance.

Initially located at Macknade Mill, Ingham offers a laid-back lifestyle, with stunning island beaches and exciting outdoor adventures right at your doorstep. Whether you're into fishing and boating, hiking, or just chilling by the beach, the Herbert Region has it all waiting for you.

This is a seasonal position in our sugar processing factory which requires shift work during the crushing season (June - December), including weekends and overtime

Your Role in Action

• Data Detective: Collect, mix and perform standard routine analysis on factory products.
• Daily Snapshot: Generate daily reports for Mill distribution.
• Accuracy in Action: Ensure accuracy of data entry.
