Job summary

Fremantle Ports is seeking an experienced Contracts Advisor to help drive its refreshed 2027 Strategic Plan. Based in Fremantle, WA, you will manage commercial contracts, lead negotiations and build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

This fast-paced role offers cross‑divisional collaboration, a focus on governance and compliance, and opportunities for professional development as part of a values-driven organisation.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in contract management or commercial advisory.
  • Law studies are highly desirable to navigate contractual obligations and risk.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements and deliver commercially sound outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship skills and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Manage and administer commercial contracts and customer agreements
  • Lead contract negotiations and deliver commercially sound outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders

Role Highlights

Join Fremantle Ports as aContracts Advisor and play a key role in managing commercial agreements, customer partnerships, and contract negotiations that support the organisation's strategic objectives. Working collaboratively across multiple divisions, you will provide commercial advice, develop innovative contract solutions, and build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.

What Makes You a Great Fit

You are a commercially focused professional with relevant qualifications and 3–5 years' experience in contract management, commercial advisory or a related field. Studies in Law are highly desirable, supporting your ability to navigate contractual obligations, negotiations and commercial risk. You have proven experience building strong stakeholder relationships, negotiating complex agreements and delivering commercially sound outcomes.

You combine strong commercial acumen with excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Tech-savvy and confident using CRM systems and digital business tools, you can effectively manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment. With a proactive and collaborative approach, you thrive on finding solutions and creating value for customers and the business.
