Job summary

Patterson Building Group is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator in Newcastle to oversee commercial projects across our growing portfolio.

You will prepare cost forecasts, monitor financial performance, and develop tender documentation while building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and consultants. This role offers career progression within a supportive team environment and exposure to high-value builds.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Solid local experience as a Contracts Administrator on commercial new build projects.
• Strong understanding of Australian commercial and legal head contracts.
• Knowledge of key building trades and processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost forecasts and monitor financial performance.
• Contribute to monthly financial reporting.
• Ensure site staff understand project scope and tender inclusions.
• Develop tender documentation for subcontractor procurement.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants.
• Manage progress claims and liaise on the Head Contract.
