Job summary

FKG Group in Newcastle is seeking an Estimator / Contracts Administrator to join our team. The role is on-site, balancing work between the Newcastle office and project sites across the Northern NSW region.

You will report to the Operations/Project Manager and handle contract administration, cost control, and competitive estimating for commercial construction projects up to $40M. Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant practical experience in commercial construction projects up to $40M.
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or a similar field.
• Advanced knowledge of the application of construction contracts.
• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g. Jobpac).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly developed organisational, time management and prioritising skills.
• High emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to meet company standards and legal requirements.
• Ensure all contracts comply with laws and regulations.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts.
• Provide guidance to project team on commercial matters.
• Maintain an accurate cost control system including budget and forecasting.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
