Job summary

Public Sector People is seeking a Development Engineer on a contract basis for the NSW Regional Council. The role provides expert engineering advice on development applications, works certificates and subdivision certificates.

You will assess hydrology, hydraulic, flooding, stormwater quality, geometric design, traffic and geotechnical studies, and collaborate with the Development and Compliance Group and government agencies to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related qualification.
• Experience with urban development studies and assessment criteria is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and with government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level technical assessment of engineering matters for development applications.
• Assess studies related to hydrology, hydraulic, flooding, stormwater quality, geometric design, traffic and geotechnical studies.
• Collaborate within Council's Development and Compliance Group and with relevant government agencies.

Education
