Job summary

Campbelltown City Council is seeking an experienced Development Engineer to support the Planning and Environment Division. You will provide expert engineering advice on subdivisions and developments, shaping infrastructure outcomes for Campbelltown.

The role requires a civil or surveying engineering qualification with at least two years’ relevant experience. A White Card and a C-class licence are expected, with a comprehensive salary package and flexible leave provisions offered.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or surveying engineering.
Minimum of 2 years' proven experience in civil or environmental engineering, with road and drainage design.
Knowledge of WSUD, DRAINS and MUSIC modelling; plus LG practices and recent legislative changes.

Responsibilities

Appraise subdivisional road and drainage plans for compliance with design principles.
Inspect and advise on approval of subdivision works to meet Council requirements.
Assess and provide engineering advice and conditions for standard Development Applications.
Assess and clearance for small-scale Subdivision Certificates for engineering matters.
Assess and determine Section 68 applications.
