Job summary

Public Sector People in Sydney seeks a Development Engineer to provide expert engineering advice on development matters including DA determinations, works certificates and subdivision certificates.

You will assess hydrology, hydraulics, flooding, stormwater quality, geometric design, traffic and geotechnical studies to support council decisions, working with the Development and Compliance Group and other agencies.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or related tertiary qualifications; or equivalent relevant depth of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level technical assessment of engineering matters for a variety of development applications, subdivision certificate applications, footway dining applications.
• Assess the suitability of technical studies associated with urban development, including hydrology, hydraulic, flooding, stormwater quality, geometric design, traffic and geotechnical studies.
• Work collaboratively within Council's Development and Compliance Group, across Council and with relevant government agencies.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
