Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our high-performing project delivery team in Canberra. You will support commercial and contractual management of major construction projects from procurement through final accounts, collaborating with Project Managers, Site Teams and subcontractors to ensure obligations are met, risks managed and costs controlled.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Contract Administrator in construction.
• Familiar with Australian Standard contracts (AS2124/AS4000).
• Experience on commercial, residential or civil projects.
• Attention to detail and commercial acumen.
• Ability to work autonomously within a team.

Responsibilities

• Administer head contracts and subcontract agreements across multiple projects
• Prepare, review, and manage progress claims, variations, and payment schedules
• Support procurement processes including tender analysis and subcontractor negotiations
• Maintain accurate project cost reporting, forecasts, and budgets
• Assist with contract compliance, documentation, and risk management
• Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure timely delivery and commercial outcomes
• Manage subcontractor correspondence and dispute resolution where required
