Job summary

City Projects NSW Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based commercial construction and fit-out company, seeks a Technical Engineer to support project delivery. You will review drawings, assist with structural documentation and coordinate engineering requirements across active projects.

The role focuses on providing specialist engineering support to Project Managers, coordinating with consultants and subcontractors, and ensuring works align with approved drawings and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent formal qualification.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Strong ability to read, interpret and apply engineering drawings, plans, specifications and technical documentation.
• Practical understanding of construction methodologies, materials and sequencing.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Assisting with design and technical documentation for structural-related elements.
• Coordinating engineering requirements across construction activities.
• Reviewing construction methodologies and identifying potential technical issues.
• Providing technical and engineering support to Project Managers.
• Coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Monitoring construction works to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Identifying technical issues and assisting in developing engineering solutions.
• Undertaking measurements, inspections and site assessments.
• Maintaining engineering records and project documentation.
• Assisting with project planning, programming and sequencing where engineering input is required.
• Supporting Project Managers in coordinating technical interfaces between trades and construction disciplines.
• Assisting with identification and management of construction risks relating to engineering matters.
• Providing ongoing technical support during construction, defect rectification and project completion.
