Job summary

Consultive Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale projects from design through to completion. You will oversee projects valued at $5M+ and ensure quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery.

The role demands strong leadership, hands-on management, and effective stakeholder engagement across design teams, clients, and local authorities.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant construction project management experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with design management, value engineering, and quality assurance.
• Excellent planning, budgeting, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Sound knowledge of site occupational health and safety requirements.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction or Engineering is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design management, development, and value engineering across projects.
• Oversee project planning, documentation, and quality control procedures.
• Contribute to quantity surveying and budgeting processes.
• Supervise and provide guidance to Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Liaise with design engineers and ensure buildability, compliance, and project standards are met.
• Manage the preparation of progress control plans, inspection/test plans, and project records.
• Liaise with clients & stake holders including Project Managers, local councils, and utility providers as required.
• Oversee site occupational health & safety manuals and compliance.
• Manage cost controls, lookaheads, forecasting, and program, financial, and KPI reporting.
• Ensure project scope is delivered to design standards, within budget, and on schedule.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
