Quantum Civil is a growing Victorian civil contractor delivering earthworks, roads, carparks, drainage and sports field projects for head contractors and local councils. Our current work includes school and community projects, council road reconstructions and commercial developments across Melbourne.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Construction Manager or Senior Project Manager role in civil construction.
• Strong background in roads, earthworks, drainage, carparks and/or civil infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead site teams.
• Solid commercial skills, including variations, claims and contract administration.
• Experience working with local councils and Tier 2/3 head contractors.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Current Construction Induction (White Card) and a full Victorian driver’s licence.

• Plan, manage and deliver multiple civil projects on time and within budget.
• Lead and support Project Managers, Site Supervisors and site crews.
• Develop and monitor programmes, staging and traffic management plans.
• Manage procurement, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare and manage variations, progress claims and final accounts.
• Track project costs, forecasts and cash flow.
• Act as the main point of contact for head contractors, councils and consultants.
• Ensure compliance with OHS, environmental and quality requirements.
• Contribute to tendering, estimating and pre-construction planning.
• Mentor and develop our team.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of our projects from start to finish.

The Role

Reporting to the Director(s), you’ll oversee multiple civil projects at once, managing programme, cost, quality and safety while building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and deliver multiple civil projects on time and within budget
• Lead and support Project Managers, Site Supervisors and site crews
• Develop and monitor programmes, staging and traffic management plans
• Manage procurement, subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepare and manage variations, progress claims and final accounts
• Track project costs, forecasts and cash flow
• Act as the main point of contact for head contractors, councils and consultants
• Ensure compliance with OHS, environmental and quality requirements

About You
