Job summary

Duratec is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects in Queensland, overseeing from setup to completion and ensuring HSECQ compliance.

You'll coordinate direct labour and subcontractors, manage costs, report progress, and advise on technical issues while maintaining strong client relationships. A tertiary qualification in Construction Management and proven leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Commercial industry experience is desirable.
• Degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Proven ability to influence and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to self-manage workload while ensuring project efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative leadership style.

Job description

Working close with the QLD Operations Manager, this role will primarily be responsible for the overall management of projects including the planning, coordination through to completion.

THE ROLE

• Overall management of construction projects from initial setup through to completion
• Ensure compliance with HSECQ requirements
• Ensure effective cost control and efficient running of various projects
• Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors
• Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings
• Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues
• Liaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to program
• Involvement with tendering/estimation
• Raise RFI’s and track responses

ABOUT YOU

• Commercial industry experienced desirable
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or similar
• Proven ability to positively influence, develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
• Ability to self-manage own workload whilst ensuring a project efficiency and a positive team environment
• Proven problem-solving capability with an approachable leadership style
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
• Ability to influence and drive teams to deliver contribution to business objectives
