Job summary

TalenToucan is seeking a construction planner to join its specialist project planning team, supporting major infrastructure projects across Australia. The role involves developing detailed programmes, scheduling, and project controls, with exposure to delay analysis and earned value management.

You will work with experienced professionals to deliver time-critical schedules, monitor performance, and identify risks, while collaborating with clients and senior consultants.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Australia within planning, scheduling, project controls, engineering or construction.
• Strong Primavera P6 experience (essential).
• Experience using MS Project and/or ASTA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Prepare resource and cost-loaded schedules for tenders and live projects.
• Support project controls, reporting and earned value management.
• Assist with delay analysis and extension of time assessments.
• Monitor project performance relating to time, cost, resources and quality.
• Identify project risks and provide planning insights to stakeholders.
• Support planning audits, reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients and senior consultants.

This role offers exposure to project planning, scheduling, project controls, delay analysis and earned value management while working alongside experienced industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
• Prepare resource and cost-loaded schedules for tenders and live projects
• Support project controls, reporting and earned value management
• Assist with delay analysis and extension of time assessments
• Monitor project performance relating to time, cost, resources and quality
• Identify project risks and provide planning insights to stakeholders

About You
