Job summary

Multicultural Consulting Services (MCS) in Adelaide is seeking a payroll specialist to run accurate, high-volume weekly payroll for a substantial construction workforce across project sites.

You will apply Kronos time-and-attendance data, interpret awards and enterprise agreements, and calculate hours, allowances, penalties and leave. Strong Excel, reconciliation and customer-service skills are essential; flexibility across project locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven end-to-end payroll experience and confidence handling high-volume weekly processing.
• Strong Kronos or comparable time-and-attendance experience.
• Ability to interpret awards and enterprise agreements and calculate hours, allowances, penalties and leave.
• Strong Excel, reconciliation, analytical and customer-service skills.
• Construction, infrastructure or large-workforce experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Validate time-and-attendance data and process hours, overtime, allowances, penalties and leave.
• Investigate employee queries and discrepancies with supervisors and attendance teams.
• Apply relevant awards and enterprise agreements and reconcile transferred payroll data.
• Maintain confidential records and prepare payroll checks, reports and audit evidence.
• Support system changes and practical improvements to payroll processes.
