JLB Landscaping is seeking a hands-on leading hand to coordinate daily site activities, lead workers and apprentices, and oversee projects from planning through handover.

You will read plans, set-outs and levels, plan materials and deliveries, monitor workmanship, guide apprentices, and liaise with the owner on progress and changes. This role requires a current White Card, a valid driver’s licence, and the ability to work independently on-site in Melbourne.

Competenze

• Hands-on landscape construction experience.
• Leading hand or site supervision experience preferred.
• Able to read plans, measure, and set-outs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must have current Driver's Licence and White Card.
• Landscaping qualifications and machinery experience are advantageous.

Key responsibilities

About you

Strong practical experience in landscape construction

Previous leading hand or site supervision experience is highly regarded

Ability to manage daily tasks and work independently

Confidence using plans, measurements, levels and construction equipment

Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills

Current driver's licence and White Card

Landscaping qualifications, machinery experience and a truck licence are advantageous

Reliable, punctual and ready to work

Takes ownership of their work and follows tasks through to completion
