Job summary

Bartier Perry is seeking a Building & Construction Associate to join their growing team in Sydney. The role offers mentoring from Partners and exposure to front and back-end matters, including drafting and negotiating construction contracts.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years post-admission experience in building and infrastructure law, strong court procedure knowledge, and a client-focused, detail-oriented approach. Flexible/hybrid work options are available in Sydney CBD.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of post-admission experience in building, construction & infrastructure law matters, including disputes and some front-end work.
• Strong knowledge of court, expert determinations and tribunal practice.
• Familiarity with SOPA legislation and adjudications (claimsants and respondents).
• Experience with standard form building contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day matters under partner supervision.
• Liaise with clients, attend court and brief counsel/experts as needed.
• Assist with drafting, review and negotiation of construction contracts and project delivery advice.
• Collaborate with the team and work toward deadlines.
