Montgomery in Sydney is seeking a junior lawyer to join the Construction, Projects and Infrastructure group. You will work on disputes across infrastructure, utilities and government projects, with a mix of litigation, arbitration, mediation and expert determination.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years' PAE in construction law or disputes, strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. The role offers mentorship, progression and a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

We represent a major Australian law firm comprising lawyers across a number of Australian offices, and including a significant global network.

As an upshot of growth, the Sydney office are now looking to hire a disputes lawyer to focus on construction, projects and infrastructure matters.

The Sydney Construction, Projects and Infrastructure group work on some of the most significant infrastructure, construction, engineering, mining and renewable energy projects in the Asia-Pacific region for a range of public and private participants.

Position Description

This is a position which will provide unparalleled opportunities for progression, mentorship and skill development in this area of law.

You will act for principally major contractors on a mix of dispute resolution including litigation, arbitration, mediation and expert determination across infrastructure (transport and social), utilities (water, power, gas and telecommunications), government (defence, rail) and renewable energy.

Requirements

You will be a lawyer with 1 to 3 years' experience,in back-end construction law or a disputes lawyer looking to specialise in construction.
