Job summary

3D Recruitment, on behalf of a well-established Victorian commercial builder, is seeking an experienced Estimator to secure and deliver complex projects across Victoria.

You will prepare first-principles estimates, review drawings and specs, obtain subcontractor pricing, and coordinate with delivery teams to ensure accurate tenders and smooth handovers. Salary up to AUD 185,000 + Super is available along with a strong pipeline of negotiated and tendered work.

Qualifications

• Experience with estimating in commercial construction.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and contract docs.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate first-principles estimates and competitive tenders. Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and commercial risks.
• Prepare tender submissions and supporting documentation.
• Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure smooth project handovers.
• Build strong relationships with consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.

THE ROLE

YOU

• Previous experience as an Estimator within commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of estimating methodology, procurement and construction costs.
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and commercial skills.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills.
