Job summary

Integrale Homes is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator in Queensland to accurately estimate residential project homes and high-end custom builds. You will interpret architectural drawings, engage with suppliers, and produce comprehensive budgets and orders.

Ideally you bring strong Excel skills and proficiency in estimating software, with sharp attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate construction estimates for project homes and high-end custom homes.
• Complete detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, engineering, specs and interior selections.
• Cost bespoke finishes, specialist materials and complex construction details.
• Produce budgets, purchase orders and subcontractor work orders.
• Obtain and assess supplier/subcontractor quotes covering all scope items.
• Identify discrepancies, missing information and potential cost risks before construction starts.
• Pricing variations and updating budgets as designs develop.
• Maintain estimating databases, rates and standard construction allowances.
• Work with site supervisors to resolve purchasing and estimating queries.
• Identify cost-effective alternatives that maintain design intent and required quality.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing accurate construction estimates for project homes and high-end custom homes.
• Completing detailed quantity take-offs from architectural drawings, engineering, specifications and interior selections.
• Accurately costing bespoke finishes, specialist materials, architectural features and complex construction details.
• Producing comprehensive job budgets, purchase orders and subcontractor work orders.
• Obtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotes, ensuring all scope items are covered.
• Identifying discrepancies, missing information and potential cost risks before construction starts.
• Pricing variations and updating budgets as designs and selections develop.
• Maintaining estimating databases, rates and standard construction allowances.
• Working with site supervisors to resolve purchasing and estimating queries.
• Identifying cost-effective alternatives that maintain the design intent and required quality.

About you

• Proven construction estimating experience with a residential builder.
• A strong background in project homes, together with demonstrated experience accurately estimating high-end custom homes.
• A sound understanding of residential building methods, trade scopes, premium finishes and bespoke construction.
• The ability to interpret detailed architectural drawings, engineering, specifications and schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify scope gaps and assess allowances where documentation is incomplete.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with designers, suppliers, subcontractors and construction teams.
• The ability to manage multiple jobs and meet deadlines.
• A practical, proactive approach to solving problems and improving processes.
