Job summary

Laing O’Rourke Australia Construction Pty Limited is seeking a Construction Accommodation Strategy Manager to join our AUKUS team in Osborne, SA. You’ll lead workforce accommodation planning, camp strategy development, and regional capacity planning to support project workforce needs.

In this role you will build strong relationships with accommodation providers, housing markets and stakeholders, develop fit-for-purpose housing solutions, and provide strategic advice to minimise cost, schedule

Qualifications

• Mobilisation and accommodation strategy experience in large projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with camp operations or workforce housing planning.

We are currently seeking a Construction Accommodation Strategy Manager tojoin our AUKUS team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workforce accommodation planning, camp strategy development, and regional capacity planning to support project workforce requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with accommodation providers, housing markets, and key regional stakeholders to secure workforce housing solutions.
• Develop and implement accommodation strategies that enable effective workforce mobilisation and project delivery.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure accommodation and camp solutions align with workforce demand forecasts.
• Support workforce attraction and retention outcomes through the delivery of sustainable and fit-for-purpose accommodation strategies.
• Provide strategic advice and reporting on accommodation, camp, and housing-related risks that may impact project cost, schedule, or workforce availability.

About you:

• Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (desirable).
• Demonstrated experience in mobilisation, accommodation management, camp operations, or large-scale infrastructure, resources, defence, or construction projects.
• Experience developing and implementing workforce accommodation and mobilisation strategies in complex project environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Strong project coordination and planning capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of reports, business cases, and strategic recommendations.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
