Job summary

Laing O’Rourke Australia Construction Pty Limited is seeking a Project Manager to join the AUKUS team delivering the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard initiative in Osborne, South Australia. The role requires leading a large, multidisciplinary group to meet scope, schedule and safety expectations.

You will drive performance, manage risks, and collaborate with clients, authorities and internal teams to deliver complex infrastructure within a major defence program.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects.
• Extensive construction planning and management, budgeting and planning, procurement, risk management, client management.
• Communication style adaptable from technical discussions to presenting information to asset owners/stakeholders.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.

About You

• Extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects, with experience in managing multiple stakeholders.
• Extensive construction experience including construction planning and management, leading teams, budgeting and planning, procurement, risk management, client management, dispute/issue resolution.
• You will have a communication style that is adaptable from dealing with technical through to presenting information to asset owners/stakeholders
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
