Job summary

Australian Wildlife Conservancy is seeking a highly organised Social Media Community Coordinator to grow and engage audiences across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube. You will plan, produce and optimize social-first content in support of conservation campaigns, working with field staff, partners and the Communications team.

You’ll translate complex conservation stories into clear, compelling content while maintaining a respectful, inclusive tone.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capability in managing online communities, including moderation and engagement.
• Ability to create engaging social media content across written, visual and short-form video.
• Proficiency adapting content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
• Experience with content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva.
• Familiarity with publishing/moderation tools like Meltwater Engage and Meta Business Suite.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines.
• Strong written communication, editing and proofreading.
• Experience in conservation, environmental or purpose-driven organisations.
• Comfort interviewing scientists and subject matter experts.
• Familiarity with Monday.com for project management.
