Job summary

ABC is seeking a skilled social media producer to grow Indigenous content reach across major platforms. You will shape campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, run idea sessions with the ABC Indigenous team, and develop new video formats to uplift content quality.

You will mentor colleagues, manage stakeholder relationships, and use analytics to refine strategy while ensuring compliance with rights, copyright, moderation and child-safety policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience creating high-quality social video, ideally on YouTube, TikTok and Reels.
• Strong eye for vertical video trends and new audience opportunities.
• Established ability to build and manage relationships with cross-organisational stakeholders and external partners.
• Familiarity mentoring colleagues and providing feedback to others.
• Strong analytics skills and awareness of platform risks like rights, copyright, moderation and child safety.
• Knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, and the ability to communicate sensitively.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver social campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
• Run sessions with the ABC Indigenous social team to uncover content ideas and trends.
• Develop fresh video formats and simple guides to help the team produce high-quality content.
• Mentor ABC Indigenous social producers to build their social skills and confidence.
• Use analytics and audience insights to inform content strategy and decisions.
