Job summary

QLD Complete Contracting Services (QCCS) is seeking experienced Concreters and Excavator Operators for civil works across the Mackay Region. Roles offer stability with a 5:2 roster and local, home-every-night conditions.

We value safety, reliability and a strong work ethic in a supportive team environment. You will execute high-quality civil works, read plans, and operate excavators, loaders and skid steers on road and rail-related projects, contributing to infrastructure and maintenance across

Qualifications

• Relevant RIIs/tickets and equipment competencies (Excavators, Skid Steers & Loaders etc.)
• Previous experience on civil, mining or industrial environments.
• A White/Blue Card and current Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing random drug & alcohol screening.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Roadworks: Complete excavation and earthworks for road construction projects.
• Pipe Installation: Support trenching and installation of underground services.
• Structure Excavation: Undertake excavation for concrete structures and civil infrastructure.
• Earthworks: Perform cut and fill, bulk earthworks and site preparation.
• Drainage & Dams: Assist with drainage, water infrastructure and dam construction works.
• Safe Operations: Operate plant safely while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

QCCS (Queensland Complete Contracting Services) is seeking experienced Concreters and Excavator Operators for upcoming and ongoing civil works across the Mackay Region.

About the Roles

We are looking for reliable professionals to join our local project team. You will be responsible for executing high-quality civil works, ensuring project-readiness, and maintaining the high standards QCCS is known for across Central Queensland. Including the following Operator tasks:

Key Responsibilities

Roadworks: Complete excavation and earthworks for road construction projects.

Pipe Installation: Support trenching and installation of underground services.

Structure Excavation: Undertake excavation for concrete structures and civil infrastructure.

Earthworks: Perform cut and fill, bulk earthworks and site preparation.

Drainage & Dams: Assist with drainage, water infrastructure and dam construction works.

Safe Operations: Operate plant safely while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

What We Are Looking For

We value people who take pride in their work, value safety, and have a sharp eye for technical accuracy.

Ideally, you will have:

Relevant RIIs/tickets and equipment competencies (Excavators, Skid Steers & Loaders etc.)

Previous experience on civil, mining or industrial environments.

A White/Blue Card and current Driver’s Licence.

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing random drug & alcohol screening.

Deliver concrete works for rail and mine site projects – from steel-fixing and formwork to pouring, finishing, and remediation

We’re looking for operators with experience across a range of equipment, including: Excavators (up to 30t), Skid Steers and Loaders for civil, rail, and mine site works.

Highly Regarded

HR Licence

Cat 3 Rail medical or Coal Board Medical

SARC Certificate (Safely Access the Rail Corridor)

Experience in heavy rail and/or mine site environments
