NQ Estimating & Civil Services is seeking experienced concreters to join our team on a casual basis. Based in western Queensland with projects across Cairns region, this role focuses on preparing, pouring, finishing and maintaining concrete structures for residential, commercial and civil works.

As a Concreter you will work with a supportive team, read plans, operate concrete equipment safely, and contribute to quality workmanship.

Qualificações

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in concrete work or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Proven experience as a Concreter in the building trades.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Current and valid driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of health and safety on construction sites.
• Ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Preparing concrete surfaces and formwork to ensure correct specifications and safety standards.
• Mixing, pouring and spreading concrete to the required thickness and consistency.
• Finishing concrete surfaces using trowelling, floating and brooming.
• Operating concrete equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and measurements to ensure accuracy.
• Maintaining concrete quality throughout curing and hardening processes.
• Ensuring work sites remain clean, safe and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborating with other tradespeople and site supervisors to meet project deadlines.
• Inspecting finished work for quality and undertaking any necessary remedial work.

As a Concreter, you will be responsible for preparing, pouring, finishing and maintaining concrete structures that form the foundation of residential, commercial and civil infrastructure projects.

What we’re looking for

• Strong knowledge of concrete handling, finishing techniques and industry best practices
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately
• Current and valid driver’s licence
• Working knowledge of health and safety requirements on construction sites
• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
