Job summary

Mackay Regional Council is seeking a practical handyman with concreting experience to join our Civil Operations team. You’ll work on minor concreting, formsetting and maintenance jobs across the Mackay region, repairing pits, slabs, footpaths, kerbs and channels while prioritising safety and teamwork.

The ideal candidate holds a White Card, has hands-on concreting or maintenance experience, and is prepared to work outdoors on varied sites.

• Hands-on experience with concreting, minor construction or general maintenance.
• Practical approach and willingness to work outdoors.
• Ability to work safely and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor concreting, formsetting and maintenance across the Mackay region.
• Repair concrete pits, slabs, footpaths, kerbs and channels.

Are you a handyman with concreting experience? This one may be for you.

What you'll be doing:

As part of our Civil Operations team, you'll work on a variety of minor concreting, formsetting and maintenance jobs across the Mackay region. This could include repairing concrete pits, slabs, footpaths, kerbs and channels. We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and safety-minded.

You might already be working as a concreter or formsetter, or you may be an experienced handyman or maintenance worker who is confident working with concrete and using tools.

What you'll need:

• Current General Construction Safety 'White' Card.
• Hands-on experience with concreting, minor construction or general maintenance.
• A practical approach and willingness to work outdoors.
• The ability to work safely and as part of a team.
