Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker for a new housing facility in Ryde, Sydney. The role provides person-centred, on-site support in a concierge-style setting with 24/7 coverage for unplanned needs, helping residents maintain independence.

Permanent Part-Time and Casual roles are available. Applicants must have an unrestricted NSW driver’s licence, a First Aid certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011) and be able to work flexibly across shifts.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence.
• Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011).
• Flexibility to work part-time and casual shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, on-site support in a shared housing facility.
• Assist with daily living tasks and personal care.
• Support residents to maintain independence and routines.
• Respond to unplanned/irregular needs 24/7 as required.
• Offer reassurance and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and safe movement around the home.
