Job summary
Life Without Barriers is seeking a Disability Support Worker (Female) in NSW for a permanent part-time role. You will provide person-centred active support to people living with disability in supported living settings, assisting with daily living tasks, personal care and community participation.
Successful candidates will have a NSW driver’s licence, ability to drive a large van, a current First Aid certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011), and a commitment to safeguarding clients’ choice, dignity
Qualifications
- Willingness to work across flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Valid NSW driver's licence and ability to drive a large van.
- A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011).
Responsibilities
- Personal care supports including dressing and showering.
- Support clients to reach their goals through meaningful activities.
- Encourage participation in meal planning and preparation.
- Support clients to maintain a safe and organised home environment.
- Track and document changing needs through record-keeping.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and families.
- Advocate for client choice in a safe, compliant manner.
- Approach challenges with resilience and a solutions-focused mindset.
