The position backfills an existing engagement; work spans Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and secure access, with a strong emphasis on compliance and incident management. Australian citizenship and NV1 (NV2 desirable) are required.
This role is on Commonwealth Defence premises and is open only to Australian citizens who hold, or are eligible to hold, a minimum NV1 Australian Government security clearance. You must be able to work on-site in Canberra, ACT. Applications that do not meet these requirements cannot be progressed.
Enablement Studio is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer embedded within the Department of Defence at HMAS Harman, ACT. This is a hands‑on end‑user computing and systems administration role in a closed, multi‑site Defence environment.
We are backfilling an infrastructure engineering role within an established Defence directorate, stepping into an existing engagement as the current incumbent moves on. The engagement delivers and sustains critical ICT infrastructure and is aligned to the current Work Order term, through to approximately mid-2027. You will keep Windows and Linux server platforms, virtualisation and end‑user computing services secure, available and compliant across geographically distributed sites, working alongside architects, network designers and cybersecurity teams.
Location: HMAS Harman, Canberra ACT (on‑site).
Start: As soon as clearance and onboarding allow.
Engagement: Casual basis, flat rate with no casual loading. Rate is discussed with shortlisted candidates.
