  • Monitor and maintain the performance, health and availability of compute clusters and host infrastructure.
  • Undertake proactive capacity management and platform tuning.
  • Administer backup platforms (HYCU, DPM), ensuring job success and regular recovery testing.
  • Support operations across multiple secure government environments.
  • Participate in occasional on‑call duties to support Defence exercises and operations.
  • Work on‑site with clients, collaborating with ADF, APS and contractor personnel.
Incident & Change Management

  • Assist in troubleshooting and recovery efforts.
  • Plan, test and implement changes under established change management processes.
  • Contribute to post‑incident reviews and corrective action planning.
Platform & Infrastructure Management

  • Ensure compliance with configuration baselines, security hardening standards and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain VM templates and drive automation of provisioning tasks.
  • Collaborate with storage and network teams to ensure cross‑platform integration and performance.
Backup & Recovery Operations
  • Maintain backup and recovery systems to meet data protection and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor backup performance and proactively address failures or capacity issues.
  • Support restoration tasks, DR testing and system recovery activities.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures and platform changes.
  • Ensure systems meet stringent security and compliance obligations.
  • Participate in audits, reporting and governance processes as required.
