Paddington Doctors is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for GPs and patients at a busy clinic. You will handle bookings, payments, and front-desk duties while maintaining a calm, empathetic presence.

The role requires excellent communication, IT proficiency, and the ability to work with children’s checks. A supportive team environment and professional development opportunities are offered.

Qualificações

• Relevant experience in reception, office administration or customer service.
• Working with Children(Check)
• Intermediate level of computer literacy
• Moderate IT skills including basic computer setup, networking and medical practice software
• Ability to communicate effectively; convey information, provide direction and instruction, negotiate and listen
• Easily build rapport and professional credibility
• Build strong working relationships built on trust and respect
• Empathetic and kind
• Responsive, solutions driven, resilient, collaborative, credible and professional

Responsabilidades

• Ensure patients and clinicians are received in a friendly, prompt, and helpful manner, face to face or over the phone
• Assess, allocate to triage, or escalate to clinicians on arrival or on a phone enquiry
• Take appropriate particulars and provide information on bookings, doctor selection, allocations and waiting procedures
• Complete patient visits by collecting fees, issuing receipts and completing allocations
• Maintain awareness of patient wait times and keep them informed
• Ensure clinician appointment books are managed as per their requests
• Monitor the environment to keep the clinic safe and well presented
• Maintain accuracy when recording patient, clinic, and service information
