Job summary

Churches of Christ is seeking a reliable Kitchen Hand for Fassifern Aged Care in Queensland. The role involves assisting with meal prep, serving meals, and upholding kitchen hygiene and safety standards in a residential aged care setting.

This casual position offers flexibility, 25% casual loading, and opportunities to contribute to a supportive, values-driven workplace. Immediate start available and SSO-ready for Australia work rights holders.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or hospitality (aged care experience desirable).
• Good communication skills and a respectful approach with residents and colleagues.
• Current Police Check or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work across day and afternoon shifts.
• Hold valid Australian Work Rights - we are not currently able to sponsor.
• Desirable Food Handling Certificate or similar qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with meal preparation and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
• Serving meals and setting up / cleaning dining areas, trolleys and trays.
• Following food safety, infection control, and workplace health and safety guidelines.
• Cleaning and maintaining work areas to required hygiene standards.
