Job summary

Churches of Christ in Queensland is seeking a casual Environmental Services Worker - Kitchen Hand for Palms Aged Care in Ingham, QLD. You’ll contribute to daily living in the facility by supporting kitchen, dining, and cleaning tasks with a reliable, team-oriented approach.

The role values flexibility, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn, with opportunities to grow within a not-for-profit aged care environment.

Qualifications

• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain).
• Basic computer skills (email and internet use).
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Australian working rights (not able to offer sponsorship).
• Previous experience in a similar role (minimum 12 months preferred).
• Experience in aged care or hospitality environments.
• Certificate II in Cookery or similar qualification (not essential).

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic meal preparation and maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Support meal service, including setup and clean-up of dining areas.
• Ensure equipment and work areas are clean, safe and well maintained.
• Collaborate with the broader team to support high standard of service delivery.
