Job summary

Silverchain Group is seeking compassionate Care Workers to support older Australians in Parramatta and surrounding areas. The role focuses on helping clients maintain independence through home care, housekeeping, meal prep, laundry, and transport to activities.

A valid Australian driver's licence and car are required. Prior experience of 3 months or more in a similar role, with skills in personal care and medication assistance, is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months experience in a similar professional role such as home or aged care.
• Valid Australian driver's licence and own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• Experience with personal care, manual handling, and medications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide home help services: housekeeping, cooking, laundry, shopping.
• Provide personal care: helping clients out of bed, bathing, dressing, helping with medications, mobility support, and transport to activities or appointments.
• Support clients and families, offering emotional and social support.
