Job summary

Silverchain is seeking a Care Worker to support aged care clients at home in Old Bar, NSW and surrounding areas. You will perform general housekeeping, personal care, medication support and transport to activities to help clients maintain independence and wellbeing.

Applicants need at least 3 months of similar experience, a valid Australian driver’s licence and an insured, roadworthy vehicle. The role offers guaranteed hours, an award rate of 34.42 AUD per hour plus super and paid kilometers,

Qualifications

• At least 3 months experience in a similar professional role (aged care or personal support).
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence and an insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• Experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide general housekeeping, bed making, cleaning, mopping and vacuuming.
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping; laundry duties.
• Deliver personal care such as assisting with mobility, showering, dressing and medication support.
• Provide transport to lifestyle activities or appointments and support family carers.
