Job summary

RSL LifeCare in Canberra is seeking a dedicated Carer to support veterans and seniors in our aged care homes, delivering compassionate care and helping with daily living activities.

In this full-time role you will join a supportive team, bring empathy, excellent communication and a willingness to learn, and contribute to a not-for-profit organisation with a proud history of serving the veteran community.

Qualifications

• Compassionate care for residents with empathy and advocacy.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a team or autonomously.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies.
• Australian Working Rights and eligibility to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Great attitude and willingness to learn from a knowledgeable team.
• General gardening/grounds maintenance knowledge including mowing, hedging, trimming, irrigation and bin maintenance.
• Current Manual Driver’s License.
• Ability to work within a small team or autonomously.
• Empathy with seniors and excellent communication skills.
• Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Demonstrated knowledge of WHS practices.
