Job summary

Equality Care & Support Services is seeking dedicated Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support to NDIS participants in Melbourne. Duties include daily living assistance, community access, and implementing individual support plans in home and community settings.

The role offers flexible shifts where possible, ongoing training, and a supportive workplace culture. Salary ranges from AUD 78,000 to 82,000 per year for full-time work.

Qualifications

• Must hold relevant qualification in disability support or aged care.
• Understanding of person-centred care and NDIS principles.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to participants with daily living activities and personal care.
• Assist participants with community access, social activities, and appointments.
• Support household tasks including meal preparation, cleaning, and shopping.
• Implement individual support plans and behaviour support strategies.
• Promote independence, dignity, and safety; maintain daily notes and reports.
• Communicate with participants, families and support coordinators; comply with standards.
