Job summary

Supporting Independent Living Co-operative Ltd. is seeking compassionate Disability Support Workers to join a team supporting three adult males with intellectual disabilities in their home in Glenmore Park, NSW.

You will help residents live independently, build skills and enjoy a meaningful life in a safe, welcoming home. We seek staff who are patient, reliable and proactive, with a passion for assisting people with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (required).
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates (required).
• Working With Children Check where required.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including afternoons and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support tailored to needs, preferences and goals.
• Assist with daily living activities, personal care and household tasks.
• Support community participation, social activities and appointments.
• Encourage independence, choice and decision-making.
• Implement individual support plans and behaviour support strategies.
• Administer medication where required and per policy.
• Maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals.
