Job summary

St Vincent's Care Services Bronte is seeking a dedicated Food Services Assistant to join a supportive team delivering compassionate care to residents. The role is permanent part-time, with availability for morning and/or afternoon shifts across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, contributing to a welcoming dining experience and high-quality food service in a boutique 107-bed aged care facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience in an aged care facility or hospital environment desirable.
• High level of customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work morning and/or afternoon shifts across the week.
• Willingness to work in the kitchen or on serving, completing wash-up duties, unloading deliveries & or whatever is required.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to provide catering and kitchen service aligned with mission and food safety standards.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Understanding of aged care and resident rights and responsibilities.
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (valid within 6 months).
• NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide catering and kitchen service for residents as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Assist in kitchen duties, serving, washing up and unloading deliveries as required.
• Uphold food safety standards and support high-quality food services outcomes.
