Job summary

St Vincent's Care Services Bronte is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our caring team in Sydney's beachside suburb. You will contribute to a welcoming, professional dining experience that supports residents with compassion and respect.

You'll bring a trade qualification in Commercial cooking (preferred) and experience with volume cooking in healthcare settings, while adhering to food safety standards and resident dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Commercial cooking (preferred), current Food Handler Certificate
• Proven experience with volume cooking such as hotels, healthcare and/or similar environments
• Flexibility to produce special dietary requirements - knowledge of aged care related nutrition and special diets
• Excellent knowledge related to all facets of Food Services including chill production and planning dining service
• Understanding of and compliance with food safety hygiene standards
• High level of customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to follow directives as per care plan
• Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
• Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within 6 months)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role.
