Job summary

Uniting is seeking an experienced aged care professional to provide compassionate personal care and support to residents in a North Parramatta setting. You will help residents maintain independence, dignity and quality of life and build trusting relationships with residents, families and colleagues.

You will perform personal care tasks (showering, dressing, grooming, mobility), assist with meals and activities of daily living, and support medication assistance while maintaining high standards of

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in residential aged care with person-centred care practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with residents, families and colleagues.
• Team collaboration and solutions-focused communication.
• Strong attention to detail and timely documentation.
• Well-organised with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive mindset to share ideas and support best practice.
• Adaptable, empathetic and aligned with Uniting's values.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming and mobility support.
• Assist residents during mealtimes and with activities of daily living.
• Support medication assistance and simple wound care where required.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and provide emotional support and companionship.
• Encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
• Work closely with the leadership team to identify opportunities for service improvement.
• Promote best practice documentation and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Contribute to a positive team culture by supporting best practice, sharing knowledge and helping maintain high standards of care.
