Job summary

Uniting NSW & ACT is seeking compassionate care staff for its Belmont North aged care home. You will provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents to help maintain independence and a high quality of life.

You will assist with daily living tasks including showering, personal hygiene, dressing, mealtimes and mobility, and support residents with medications and simple wound care. You’ll also engage residents in social and community activities.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in aged or community care or willingness to start.
• Adaptable, empathetic and resourceful with Uniting values.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents to support independence and quality of life.
• Assist with daily living activities: showering, hygiene, dressing, meals and mobility.
• Assist with medication and simple wound dressings.
• Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
