Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a Care Worker to deliver person-centred care in our aged care home in Armidale. You will support residents to maintain independence and comfort within a safe, caring environment.

The role emphasizes empathy, practical assistance with daily activities, and collaboration with a compassionate team to enhance residents' quality of life and engagement in meaningful activities.

Qualifications

• Must have a Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support.
• Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Care is highly desirable.
• Must have a good amount of availability.
• Be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful; live Uniting’s values of compassionate, respectful, imaginative, bold.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents to enhance independence and quality of life.
• Assist with daily living activities: showering, hygiene, dressing, meals, mobility.
• Support with medication and simple wound dressings.
