The role requires a Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support, with experience in aged or community care preferred. A flexible schedule and commitment to Uniting's values are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support.
• Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Care is highly desirable.
• Must have good availability.
• Be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful; live Uniting's values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
• Provide a culturally safe and inclusive work environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing shifts if required.
• Genuine passion for elderly care, empathy, patience and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents to help independence and quality of life.
• Assist with daily living activities (showering, hygiene, dressing, meals, mobility).
• Assist with medication and simple wound dressings.
• Support residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
