Job summary

MSD Australia & New Zealand seeks a Territory Sales Manager - Companion Animal to drive sales growth and retail execution across Sydney, South NSW and VIC. You will work with a high-performing team, delivering promotional programs and product visibility while engaging with store teams and stakeholders.

Reporting to the Strategic Account & Sales Manager, you will manage territory plans, train retail staff, and build strong customer relationships to achieve targets and ensure quality service.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in sales, retail, account management or a customer-facing role.
• Experience in retail, FMCG, pharmacy, animal health or consumer products preferred.
• Tertiary business or science degree preferred.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to influence and engage customers at store level.
• Strong organisational and territory management skills.
• Ability to analyse sales data and translate insights into actions.
• Self-motivated with strong execution discipline and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with broader teams.
• Strong presentation and training skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office and CRM skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets and activity objectives for assigned retail customers and stores.
• Develop and execute territory plans to drive growth.
• Identify sales opportunities through customer engagement and market insights.
• Review territory performance regularly and take action to reach objectives.
• Monitor competitor activity and adjust actions to improve market share.
• Execute promotional programs and ensure product visibility in stores.
• Build and maintain relationships with store managers and regional stakeholders.
• Deliver product training and education to retail teams.
• Support customer enquiries and timely issue resolution.
• Maintain high standards of retail execution across stores.
