Catholic Healthcare Limited is seeking a Community Worker to support older clients in the Kogarah, Sutherland Shire, and Wororona areas. This Permanent Part Time role covers Monday, Thursday and Friday, travelling between client homes to assist with daily tasks, transport, meals and personal care as needed.

The role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits in a not-for-profit environment, with opportunities to grow and gain qualifications.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to older Australians in the community.
• Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people.
• Reliable team player with good workplace conduct (WHS).
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential).
• Australian driver's licence and access to a registered vehicle (essential).

Responsabilités

• Assist clients with day-to-day in-home tasks: cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks per care plan.
• Provide transport to appointments and shopping.
• Meal preparation for clients.
• Provide social support or respite for family/carers.
• Personal care support including assistance with showers and dressing (if qualified).

• Hourly rate from $34.50 to $37.00 + superannuation + $1.11 per km

You will be travelling around Kogarah, Sutherland Shire/ Wororona areas in a varied and rewarding role - no two days will be the same!!

Day to day role looks like:

• Supporting and connecting with our clients assisting with day to day in home tasks - cleaning, tidying, washing and other tasks within the client's care plan
• Transport to appointments and shopping
• Meal preparation
• Social Support or Respite for family/carers
• Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)

To be successful in this role you'll need:

• A genuine passion for providing high quality care to older Australian's in the community
• To be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• To be a reliable team player
• To have an understanding of workplace health and safety
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support highly regarded (but not essential)
• An Australian driver's licence and access to a registered motor vehicle (essential)
